About Astro Tennis Association (Astro)
Who we are
- Astro was originally founded by a group of passionate tennis enthusiasts dedicated to philanthropy. It was established as a non-profit organization after merging several amateur tennis social and networking groups in Singapore.
- In January 2026, Astro (UEN: T26SS0011A) officially received approval from the Registry of Societies (ROS) , to become a registered non-profit tennis community, and be governed by the Societies Act of Singapore.
- Based in Singapore, the association is built on the philosophy of "Connecting through Tennis, giving back to the community, and loving our planet."

- Connecting through Tennis: Breaking social barriers and uniting like-minded sports enthusiasts.
- Deep-Rooted Foundation: Formed through the merger of multiple established amateur tennis social groups, giving us a robust community base.We maintain thriving and large-scale local tennis online communities, bringing together a vast network of players through our active WeChat and WhatsApp chat groups.
- Spreading Love across the City: Collaborating with qualified charitable organizations, transforming sportsmanship into charitable action to create a positive social impact.
- Long-term Mission: Utilizing tennis as a vehicle to promote a healthy lifestyle in the Lion City and to sustain ongoing philanthropic initiatives.
Venues
- Astro operates through long-term partnerships with institutions that have private tennis facilities, ensuring consistent and high-priority access to quality courts. In Singapore, Astro has partnered with the APEX Tennis International Pte Ltd (APEX). APEX serves as the primary hub for Astro member events and as the home ground for inter-club matches organized by the Singapore Tennis Association (STA). Located near Sembawang, APEX's facility features unique retractable roof tennis courts, allowing for both outdoor and indoor play, preventing interruptions from rain.
- For specific major events, Astro also secures exclusive temporary rights to public facilities. Our 2025 and 2026 charity tournaments were held at the Kallang Tennis Hub (KTH). With KTH's support, these events were highly successful, achieving significant charitable donations and social impact.
Member of the Singapore Tennis Association (STA)
- Within a month of our formal establishment, Astro successfully registered as a member of the Singapore Tennis Association (STA). We are excited to announce our debut in the STA Inter-Club matches starting in March 2026.
- Astro Senior Members receive priority registration to represent Astro in various STA events and leagues.
Astro Membership Program
As a non-profit organization dedicated to both tennis promotion and social impact, our membership tiers are designed to be both inclusive and competitive:
- Ordinary Membership: Open to all tennis enthusiasts who align with Astro’s mission and culture. No technical skill requirements or annual fees. Members can join via our WeChat or WhatsApp groups for ad-hoc charity matches, skill-level tournaments, or ladder matches.
- Senior Membership: Generally requires a minimum technical level of NTRP 3.5 for Men and NTRP 3.0 for Women. Admission requires approval from any two Astro Committee members (with no objections from the others). Senior members enjoy priority event registration, exclusive association benefits, and are required to pay annual membership fees.
- Committee Membership: Requires fulfilling all Senior Member criteria plus active contributions to the association’s operations, event organization, or financial sponsorship.

Training and Other Services
Astro collaborates with various professional tennis service providers to offer customized support for our members:
- Regional Exchanges Recommendations for certified pro coaches for personalized, one-on-one training with flexible locations and schedules.
- Group Training: Organized team practices at fixed venues on a scheduled basis.
- Regional Exchanges: Annual opportunities for Senior Members to participate in regional open tournaments and inter-club exchange events.
- Sports Wellness: Consultation services for sports rehabilitation and medical support.
